 Inside, space is maximised. The automatic gear lever is in the steering column and the seats have various configurations depending on how you want to use them. The seat of the rear bench folds up enabling you to push the rear row to the back of the middle row, thus creating acres more boot space. But most brilliantly of all, the middle row of seats can be removed and replaced facing backwards so all six passengers can face each other.

The Volkswagen Touran was designed to fill a gap in VW’s lineup in the form of a compact SUV. Smaller than the Tiguan but with seven seats, it is a popular car in Japan due to its carrying capacity in a body that fits into small spaces.

The rear (third) row of seats folds flat enabling its use as a regular estate and when you need to fit in more gear the middle row collapse into the footwell behind the front seats or can be removed completely. It’s a very clever piece of design, engineered around VW’s 2.0 litre FSi engine and provides a fast, comfortable ride.

In addition to the main features there are other nice touches such as a host of small storage compartments, strong fold-down tables on the backs of the front seats and drink holders.

The aptly named Toyota Noah is a spacious 8-seater on the inside but not as bulky as the Nissan Elgrand or the Mazda Bongo. 1979 Toyota Corolla Sprinter.

In 1974 Toyota introduced the third generation Sprinter based on the third generation Corolla coupe, 4 door saloon and hatchback. Once again, the differences between the Corolla and Sprinter were mostly cosmetic. Saloons received a more formal upright grill, while the coupe and Hatchback received a sleeker, aerodynamic looking frontal treatment. 

Our 1979 Sprinter is in outstanding condition, it has only travelled 23,943 miles and is a credit to its previous owner. The Sprinter is totally standard including the original stereo, mirrors, seats and covers. 

As you can see from the pictures it also has the original paint work, this Sprinter has never been resprayed or repaired. The under floor is also totally original and is rust free.
